Dates

This hackathon runs on the dates and times listed on the hackathon page. Hacking may not begin before the official start time, and all projects must be submitted before the posted deadline. Late submissions will not be judged.

Eligibility

Participants must meet the age and eligibility requirements listed on the registration page. Teams are required, and every team member must be present for judging. If you don't have a team yet, reach out to an organizer and we'll help you find one.

Project and Submission Requirements

Your project must be substantially built during the hackathon. You may use pre-existing APIs, SDKs, libraries, and open source tools, but the core idea and implementation need to be created during the event. Submissions must include a project description, a working demo or demo video, a link to your code, and a short explanation of how Gemini is used in the interaction loop, along with a list of technologies used and the names of all team members.

Prizes

Prize categories and winner counts are listed on the Prizes tab of this hackathon page. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash unless stated otherwise.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

Projects are scored by a panel of judges against the criteria listed on the Judging tab, which covers originality, how well the project fits the theme and uses Gemini in a meaningful way, technical execution, practicality and impact, creativity and design, and how clearly the team presents their work. Judges' decisions are final.
